North House - Maison Ste-Ursule

What a wonderful stay with son and daughter in law and their two girls. It is sited right in the middle of the city. The rooms were spotless and sitting in the garden enjoying breakfast and Cocktail hour was so fun. Hard to believe that we were right in the center of a bussling city. The staff was so efficient and helpful. Would highly recommend and will stay there when we return.

It’s too bad there are still old photos up because it seems the location has been 100% renovated! We were in number 4 and it’s fantastic! Clean spacious and perfect for our family of three. The location is to die for!! We were right in the heart of old Quebec City, walking distance to everything. The parking was confusing day 1 but once we realized we could scoot out the back gate it was so easy, less than a 2 minute walk. Could not have been happier, very much recommend! I would add pics but my family is in all of them, lol. Edit* All the apartments seem to be different sizes, please note when I say it’s perfect for our family of three it’s in regards to unit 4 which could hold more kids. We have seen larger families in other units that also seemed very happy.

Nice place. Hostess was charming, nothing too much trouble. The bed pillows were as hard as rock, so asked if she had softer ones, which she willingly supplied. Only issue was the stairs. Narrow and steep with 3 flights. Difficult with a suitcase, and if elderly or infirm. Ask for ground floor rooms. We would not have managed with 2 heavy suitcases to get upstairs. The first floor would have been our limit. Our friends were on top floor. They felt the same and were concerned of fire exit risk.

Hotel was located inside the walls. So it’s where you want to be ! Hotel is clean ! Staff are nice . No fridge in room . Wifi doesn’t work all the time . No all rooms have bathrooms. There is no parking at this hotel. Parking is about 3 small blocks away. So not the end of the world . We stayed sept 2022 room 5 with a bathroom on the top floor .no air conditioning No elevators ! The city is great. Enjoy

This little hotel really exceeded my expectations. From the initial friendly greeting from the young man at front desk who personally showed us to our room, to the room itself. You walk down the most charming alley that is full of flowers and inviting outdoor seating. Our room was on the upper level that was very clean and charming. I loved that there was a vanity in the bathroom for myself. I would definitely come back and recommend.

This hotel is right in the middle of Vieux Quebec and has so much character! In addition to a great location, if made us feel as though our room was part of the HISTORY of Quebec, not just some big-name hotel room. Very clean! The decor in the stairways needs work but the owner is in the process of redoing it. Our room was really a part of Quebecois history... it had the original stone wall exposed on one side and the original fireplace! The owner and staff were very kind and accommodating. The room didn't have a mini fridge but we could keep food in the staff fridge on the main floor. This isn't a main stream hotel - it is a piece of history, a family-owned, super small, Quebec experience! The 'lobby' has the ancient wall (dating back to the 1700's) exposed at one side, and is a charming place to sit and eat. Despite the ancient atmosphere and old structure, the owner keeps the rooms very clean. It was safe, quiet, charming and a real experience! I'm very glad I chose to stay here! I would like to return!

Very cute n cozy place to stay. I love our room as it has a rustic attic feel, has a small sink inside, plus a little balcony. Receptionist was very helpful in recommending places to eat since the room didn't come with any breakfast. The location was very near places to eat and walkable to other attractions. Just a heads up though, the hotel is uphill so better travel light or you will be pushing or dragging your suitcases like what we did. Hehe Aside from this, had a super great stay and will definitely go back!

Great location and spacious rooms. The building has an old charm but the interiors are nicely updated with a modern touch. Free parking was a big plus. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay.
